2012 Class Schedule


Instructor Julie Cancilla:

  • All classes are in the evening from 7 to 9 pm unless otherwise noted.
  • A supply list is provided for each class. Students may bring their own supplies or purchase them at a 10 % discount. *
  • Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced sessions consist of four 2 hour evening classes.
  • Students complete all 4 classes for each session.
  • No refunds on cancelled sessions, unless we cancel the session. If you have to cancel, you may apply the fee to another session.

Basic Cake Decorating
You will receive instruction on all types of frosting, fillings, and use of necessary tools.
Learn to decorate cakes for all occasions. Split, fill, frost, create borders, flowers and practice writing. Discover how creative you can be with frosting and a pastry bag.
Cost is $38.00 per session, plus supplies *
Session 1: January 12, 17, 19 & 24
Session 2: March 6, 8, 13 & 15
Session 3: April 17, 19, 24 & 26
Session 4: May 17, 22, 24 & 29
Session 5: July 10, 12, 17 & 19

Basic Fondant Class
You will cover a cake with fondant. Then, you will make flowers and learn how to use “Petal Dust” and “Luster Dust”. We will show you the difference between “Satin Ice” and Fondarific”.

Cookie Decorating Class
You will learn how to make and decorate many different sugar cookies using color flow or dipped in chocolate. Just in time for Moms and Grads.

Cost is $50.00

Truffles & Creams Candy Class
Make truffle and cream filling from scratch. Some will be hand dipped and some will be made using a candy mold.

Cost is $60.00
May 9

Topsy Turvy Cake Class
We will provide you with 6, 10 and 14 inch cakes. You will frost, fill, and decorate in class. Students will use fondant to cover their cakes, then they will stack them and decorate with fondant. You will take your cakes home to share with family and friends. This class will be limited to the first 5 people who sign up so there will be room to work.

Cost is $200.00
May 10 - 6p.m. to 9 p.m

Instructor: Gary Butera

Fresh Fruit Pies
Make up your crust for Apple and Peach pies. Students will help Gary make up both pies to share in class, and also make their own mini pies to take home and share with family.

Cost is $50.00
June 20th from 7:00 to 9:00

Kids Classes

Instructor: Julie Cancilla      

  • Each class is $75.00.  Sign up for 3 classes for $200, and save $25.00.
  • All supplies are provided.
  • All classes are from 10:30 until 2:00.  
  • No refunds on cancelled sessions, unless we cancel the session.  If you have to cancel, you may apply the fee to another session.

Class # 1 Bread Baking
You will make: Dinner Rolls, Cinnamon Rolls, Monkey Bread and Turnovers.
While we are waiting for the dough to rise, we will take a break and have lunch with homemade rolls, lunchmeat and chips.
Cost is $75.00.

Class # 2 Cake and Cupcake Decorating
You will receive: 1 pastry bag, I coupler, 6 tips, & 5 disposable bags. You will learn how to fill, frost and border a 7” cake and 6 cupcakes.  Then, we will use cookie cutters to make sandwiches and have lunch.
Cost is $75.00.

Class # 3 Fondant Cake Decorating
You will receive a 7” cake to fill, frost and cover with fondant.  You will make several Fondant Flowers and Jungle Animals to decorate your cake.  Then, we will use a Fondant Cutter to make sandwiches and have lunch.
Cost is $75.00.
June 22

Class # 4 Learn To Make Breakfast
You will make: Pancakes, French Toast Cobbler, Apple Bundt Cake, Sour Cream Coffee Cake, Quiche, and Cinnamon Roll Biscuits.  All of these will be made from scratch. We will also make “Potatoes Hashed in Cream”, and bake Sausage, & Bacon in the oven.  We will take a lunch break to eat some of these “Goodies”. You will also take some home.
Cost is $75.00.
June 27

Class # 5 Learn To Make Lunch
You will make: Hot Dog Buns and Pizza Dough, “Rolled Lasagna”, Jell-O Salad and Fruit Salad, Brownies and “S’mores”.  You will BBQ Hot Dogs, and roast Marshmallows for the S’mores, then have lunch.
Cost is $75.00.
June 28

Class # 6 Cake Pops
You will make up the mixture for Cake Pops, form, chill, dip in chocolate, then decorate them.  We will also make “Round Pops” in our Cake Pop maker, dip and decorate.  Then we will have lunch.
Cost is $75.00.
